Gross margin was 29.2 percent, up from 28.1 percent in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 40 percent of the quarter’s revenue.

161万台のMacと870万台のiPodの出荷により売り上げが30％以上も伸びたことで、四半期に48億4000万ドルの売上高と5億4600万ドル（1株当たり62セント）の純利益。つまり、日本円では約600億円の純利益。CNetの記事ではアナリストの予想を下回ったと掲載されているが、十分な数字だ。今月頭のシリコンバレー出張の際に聞いた情報では、Appleはオフィスを引っ越す計画とのこと。
場所は同じクパチーノらしいが、今のオフィスのデザインはどちらかといえばコンサバな印象があり、次のオフィスのデザイン（ジョブスの趣味ですが）が注目されているらしい。写真は今のオフィス。
