Amazon のサーチサイト A9 が 14 日夜（米国時間）にローンチしました。Cnet Blog の梅田さん 曰く A9 とは、Aで始まる9文字の言葉である Algorithm （アルゴリズム）が語源だそうです。
A9 のユーザーインターフェースに関しては、はβバージョンから注目してきましたが、今回の正式ローンチでユーザーインターフェースがさらに洗練されています。右側に配置された Web, Books, Images, Movies などの Alternate なボタンにより検索対象が選択でき、表示カテゴリが増減します。
加えて、Web 検索結果に表示された Site Info ボタンに On Mouse すると Alexa.com との連携により Trafic Lank が表示されます。
注目するのは、google や Yahoo! とは異なり、A9 は Subscribe 型のサーチエンジンであり、サーチキーワードが Bookmark できることが大きな特徴です。
